Sydney French Choir

Tickets for this event were given to club members André and Mila. Here is their report...

On the invitation from Hans Hammond of the Sydney French Choir, my wife and I attended an evening at the Randwick Presbyterian Church on May 30.  On the program, there were 5 different choirs to entertain us.  I must admit that I did not know what to expect, and we were both pleasantly surprised.  The variety of songs performed reflected a nice variety from soul to rock (even Elvis was seen in the building!) all sung in great harmony.

Being French speaking, I particularly enjoyed the 4 songs presented by the Sydney French Choir, ending in a very entertaining FRERE JACQUES (Brother John) where everyone was asked to participate in “round-robin”.

The show started on time at 8:00 PM, and were surprised to see the time flew so quickly by the time it ended at 10:20 PM.  It was great to chat with some of the singers during the 20-minute intermission.  A nice time was had by all.
