Red was the "hands-down" fave

16 May 2009 11:32 PM | Chris Betcher
Linda and Chris hosted this month’s wine night. There was no focus on a particular wine region, but guests were just asked to bring a favourite wine and a favourite appetizer.

We had 10 people in total – Brenda and Mick, Kim and Andy, Deeahn and Craig and two of our newest members of the club, Andrew and Christina.

There was one NZ chardonnay, a lone rose and the balance of the favourites created a sea of red.  We enjoyed  a tasty selection of cab savs, merlots and shirazes (just what is the plural of shiraz?)  We enjoyed a variety of olives, a collection of cheeses, some hot hors d’eourves  including  artichoke dip, yummy sundried tomato and avocado brushetta , pastizzi and garlic prawns, there was no shortage of food favourites.

We even found a few of our musical favourites to round out the evening.
And here are a few of our favourite photos from the night.

Until the next one… cheers!
