We've been contacted by Vlad Rubes, the Head Coach of the Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Team and former National Team Coach. If you know of any experienced hockey players in Sydney, please forward the following on:

The Sydney Bears are one of the original teams of the Australian Ice Hockey League, the AIHL.

The Sydney Bears are looking for players with Australian Permanent Resident visa status, who would like to continue playing hockey while living in Sydney. The potential players should have at least Junior A/B, CIS/College experience.

Throughout the years, the Bears have had lots of Canadian players successfully playing for their Team, some have eventually become citizens able to represent Australia at the World Championships.

For more information about the Sydney Bears and the National league, please check:

Several facts about the AIHL:
- season goes from April until end of August
- there are 8 teams in 5 states
- Bears practice 1-2/week @Macquarie Ice Rink
- we play our home games @ Sydney Ice Arena

If this appeals to you or someone you know, please contact Vlad directly.
