Each year at the AGM, the members of the club elect a committee to take on the task of managing the club for the following 12 months. These are all voluntary positions and are open to any interested members.

President - Kathleen Prokopovich
I’m originally from Ottawa, Ontario (Go Sens!!) and have been living and working in Sydney for 6 years now. As much as I love the weather and lifestyle in Australia, it’s a long way from home and it’s great to meet people who watch hockey, celebrate Canada Day and Thanksgiving, and who understand what freezing rain and -40 degrees feels like! I welcome all members to email or contact me if you have any questions or ideas for the club :)

Membership - Kim Preminger
I stumbled into Australia by chance when I married a long-time pen-pal from England who moved here back in the 80’s. Originally from West Van & Kitsalano in Vancouver, I lived in Japan and Vietnam before coming to Newcastle in 1997. I moved to Sydney in 2000 and became an Australian citizen. I’ve been a member since 2004 and I’m looking forward to doing Membership and returning to active duty on the Committee. It is going to be an exciting year!

Volunteer Coordinator - Catriona Kerr
Like many members I am the Canadian half of a Canadian/Australian couple. I'm originally from Vancouver although I have spent time in Sackville, New Brunswick attending Mt A and Toronto. I'm looking forward to helping organize volunteers for events of the club including Canada Day and Thanksgiving. Hi! I'm Chris, a Sydney-born Aussie. I lived in Oakville, Ontario for a year and I've been back quite a few times, so Canada feels somewhat like a second home to me! Like many of our club members, I'm an Aussie with a Canadian partner and we joined the club to try and help her stay in touch with her Canadian roots. In the process we both found a fun group of people to hang out with!
