“Interesting Names and Labels”
It is supposed to be plain wrong to choose a wine because you like the label or the name is catchy, but so many wineries these days have spent time and treasure to produce designer quality labels and dream up great names.
So, let’s give these wines a try!
Bring sparkling, white, rose or red with a cute or catchy name or a funky label design. There will be a prize for the best tasting wine so you might want to be sure your choice isn’t all flash and no flavour! (buy a bottle first and try it at home: no one wants to spend the night drinking bad wine)
This time we will pay the hors d’ouvres cost directly to The Club through our website. After you register and pay you will receive a confirmation email giving you the address and phone number. All you’ll need is to show up with the bottle of wine to share. Couples usually bring 1 bottle between them and singles 1 bottle each.
We are in Coogee and if you wish to come but live far and don’t relish the long trip back that night there are a few options for you. We have hotels and B&B’s in the area, which I can give you details of, or you are welcome to pitch a tent in my backyard – I have a full bathroom at yard level.
As this event is being held in a private house, places are strictly limited to 18 guests. It is open to Members and their friends only. Children would not have a good time at all. We are a shoe-free home.
