WEEKEND AWAY—MUDGEE
I’m looking for expressions of interest from club members. I will be organising a weekend away of wine tasting in the Mudgee wine region (approx 3.5 hrs NW of Sydney). The plan will be to leave Sydney after work on Friday and spend Saturday & part of Sunday exploring the many boutique wineries in Mudgee. There are some great guest houses available to rent that should allow the group to all stay together. Please email Brenda if you’re interested—bmisener@iinet.net.au
1st November 2008 Time:6pm
HALLOWEEN PUB CRAWL—Sydney CBD
We all remember being kids, getting dressed up & going door to door collecting Halloween Treats. Well time has passed (we’re no longer kids) and we’re now living in Oz. Unfortunately for us, the Aussies haven’t really embraced this great holiday tradition. So, Join us for a different kind of trick or treating and instead of going door to door collecting candies, we’re going to go from Pub to Pub and enjoy a favourite Australian pastime—having a drink with mates! This Pub Crawl has a built in transportation system—the Monorail! We will start the event at the Crossroads Bar in Market Street and then hop on the Monorail to start our journey. There are 9 stops along the Monorail where we will get off, have a drink at the local Pub and then get back on the Monorail to the next stop and the next pub. An all day ticket on the Monorail only costs $9.50. For those who feel brave enough—please dress up! For those who are more timid—you MUST wear either Black or Orange (we have to have some Halloween tradition in this event). Please RSVP your attendance to Brenda on 0412 555 371 or bmisener@iinet.net.au
